Eileen Quinn

Eileen moved to Nevada with her husband in 1983 and became involved with the early childhood education community. Her passion is caring for and educating all children in full inclusion preschool programs in the early years of birth to 5 and led her to working 16 years at Catholic Charities Child Care Centers in Henderson/Las Vegas developing infant, preschool and kindergarten programs, while working as a Licensed Teacher, Assistant Director and Director, plus, 24 years at UNLV/CSUN Preschool, Lynn Bennett Early Childhood Education Center as a Teacher, and Program Coordinator.

While working in the ECE field and raising 2 children, Eileen graduated with an Associate of Applied Science/Child Development degree from the Community College of Southern Nevada, (1990), a Bachelor of Science/Early Childhood Education degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, (2003), and a Master of Education/Special Education degree, UNLV, (2012). She retired in 2024.

In February 2024, Eileen received the Hand in Hand Together We Can Award for making a difference in the lives of children in the years of her ECE career from Nevada PEP, (Parents Educating Parents for children with disabilities and their families). Eileen’s community involvement includes serving as a board member of the Southern Nevada Association of Young Children, (1994 – 2019), Chaired the NAEYC Week of the Young Child Celebration Events, a Nevada Registry ECE Trainer (2005 to 2024), Presenter for UNLV/CSUN Preschool and the ECE professionals local community, for NevAEYC local and state conferences, and for the National Association for the Education of Young Children national conferences. While training on all ECE professional development, Eileen’s passion is educating ECE folks about Inclusion Preschool Programs and supporting our children and families with developmentally appropriate practices, offering access, participation and supports for all with individual strengths-based intentional teaching and learning, and the power of learning through play.She continues her charity work in the community with the support of fellow members in her court of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, benefitting many local organizations, a member since 2005.

Eileen joined the F2F board in February 2024 and is eager to work with all involved to continue the mission and vision that is essential to our Clark County community of families with children in the early years.
