Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Welcome to Family to Family Connection!  This is a place where you can feel safe while you prepare your child for success in school and life.  Here you will find other parents who share your interest in getting your kids prepared to start the first day of school – ready to learn.

Family to Family Connection represents a gentle transition from home to the classroom for both you and your child.  As your child prepares for school they will experience learning as fun.  And as you take time and effort to be your child’s first teacher, the importance of education becomes a family value.  As you gain important new information regarding safety, development and family dynamics, your confidence as a parent will increase.

At Family to Family Connection you will find educated and supportive professionals who will listen to your concerns and work with you to find answers.  You will gain knowledge of other community resources as our partners come to our center to present specialized programming.  We schedule field trips and park days designed to further acquaint you and your family with the benefits of our Las Vegas community.  All these opportunities expand your capacity to be an even more effective parent.

We congratulate you on your interest in getting your child off to a good start.  We are here to be your partners.  Please feel free to seek assistance as needed.  And we welcome feed-back regarding programming or areas of special interest.

Welcome.

Our Mission

Family to Family Connection empowers and supports families to provide a safe and nurturing environment for their children through parent education and community networking.

Founded in 1998, the Family to Family Connection program builds upon the strengths of children, families and communities to support the child within the family and the family within the neighborhood. The program was developed by Sandy Miller, former First Lady of Nevada, as a means to help build families in our state by providing services focusing on strengthening attachment, maximizing brain development and promoting breastfeeding. This statewide effort creates a comprehensive network that encourages optimal child growth and development through community-based public and private partnerships.

We give parents and caretakers the tools to provide a safe and nurturing environment for their children.

The parent-participation classes offered by the centers help build strong bonds between parents and their infants and toddlers and provides training on key developmental areas including early physical, social and emotional issues.
